Laura goes to Ghana

Hey all, I decided to start a travel blog to write updates on my adventures in West Africa. I'm not gonna lie, I stole the idea from many other brilliant travelers, and decided that I wouldn't bombard you guys with loads of emails about every little detail (read: Bosnia, Belize... okay I got the hint) - instead you can read on if you are actually interested - and I won't take offense if you aren't. I am planning on posting one a weekish, and hopefully the posts will be laden with photos.

Here is what I can tell you so far: I am interning through an organization based in Canada called Project Ploughshares. The organization I am working for in Ghana is called the West African Network for Peacebuilding, and is located in Accra, the capital city. For those of you not familiar with the geography, Ghana is situated in West Africa, between Cote d'Ivoire and Togo - on the coast. Come on you geeks in Model UN, you know all these places! Anyway I'll be there for six months - leaving early September... I'll post more when I get more details.
